Agri-Business Appraisal
Jessica is currently in a modified, extended maternity leave and is not accepting new clients for the remainder of the year.
Jessica D. Ritter has appraised agricultural properties throughout Oregon for 12 years. She worked at a private firm in Salem from 1999-2005 and took her experience and expertise to join Agri-Business and perform quality USPAP compliant appraisal reports for lenders, attorneys, accountants and private individuals. She is a private, independent contractor (also known as a fee-appraiser.) Appraisals are typically used for loan collateral, estate planning or assistance in determining a property’s sale price.
Legally allowed to appraise all properties in Oregon, she focuses her skills exclusively on agricultural properties throughout the Willamette Valley. The work performed is solely agricultural - this speciality does NOT include small acreage "rural residential" work. We are aware of no current colleagues to refer you to for this type of work. The area of limitation extends to: Marion County, Polk, Yamhill and Clackamas Counties. No work is performed outside these four counties at this time. If you have a property in Linn or Benton Counties, we would refer you to Mel Brush at 541-967-4039. For the remainder of the state, I can only recommend Marlo Dill out of Redmond, who focuses in the Central Oregon region at 541-447-6641.
Typical farm appraisals completed include: nurseries, hazelnut orchards, processing facilities, seed cleaning facilities, grass seed farms, row crop lands, berry farms, irrigated and dry farmlands. If you have a winery or vineyard property to be appraised, we recommend contacting the expert in the area, Carl Stillman, at 503-540-5666.
Jessica holds the highest appraisal license available in the State of Oregon. She is a "Certified General Appraiser", whereas most appraisers focus on less complex, typically residential properties and only obtain their "State License." For this reason, she focuses on agricultural properties and does not typically appraise residential property. Jessica is a member of the Oregon chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (OSFMRA).
